Nader Atassi is a scholar whose current research focuses on Syrian political economy and economic history. He received his PhD from Columbia University in 2023, and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Berkeley. He is broadly interested in global political economy and development, and the history of economic thought in the modern Middle East.
