Mustafa Haid is a Syrian writer and senior advisor specializing in transitional justice, civil society development, and media development across the SWANA region. With over two decades of experience at the intersection of human rights, advocacy, and accountability, Mustafa has worked with UN agencies, international organizations, and grassroots movements to advance justice and inclusive governance.

In recent years, Mustafa has turned much of his attention to the ecological dimensions of war. He has focused on the environmental toll of Syria’s conflict and is currently contributing to research and policy thinking around environmentally just reconstruction and locally driven recovery strategies. He has authored dozens of articles on transitional justice and environmental documentation, and has trained numerous Syrian and regional actors on integrating justice, sustainability, and community-led action.
