Mohammed Omran is a Professor of Financial Economics at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology. He served as Executive Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority (2017–2022) and the Egyptian Stock Exchange (2011–2017). Dr. Omran has held visiting positions at several institutions, including the Universities of Plymouth, Vaasa, Oklahoma, Alberta, Laval, and South Carolina, and recently at Robert Morris and Stellenbosch Universities. With over 6,000 citations, he is among Egypt’s most cited financial economists specializing in the MENA region.
