Marh Echtai

Spatial Planner

Marh Echtai is a PhD researcher at TU Delft’s Department of Urbanism, working within the Horizon Europe RURALITIC project on rural revitalization and sustainable transformation. Trained as an architect and spatial planner, she holds a Master’s in Urbanism from TU Delft and a Post-Master’s in Humanitarian Architecture. Her work is driven by the belief that places scarred by conflict, displacement, and climate change can be transformed into spaces of resilience, equity, and hope. She sees planning not only as a technical exercise but also as a political and cultural practice that empowers communities to reclaim agency, dignity, and memory.
