John M. Carey is the Wentworth Professor and the Associate Dean of Faculty for the Social Sciences at Dartmouth College. He is the author of 6 books and dozens of academic articles on democratic institutions, representation, and political beliefs, and is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
