Andrew Findell-Aghnatios
Arab Reform Initiative Team
Andrew is the program lead on Tech & Society at the Arab Reform Initiative. His work focuses on the techno-military nexus – especially given its rapid evolution in the MENA region – how technology can facilitate localised knowledge production, the role of digital and data infrastructure in the construction of social fabrics, and the impact of emerging technologies on security and citizenship in the MENA region.
He is also interested in questions that cut across these themes, specifically relating to accessibility, connection, the digital divide, AI, and equality for marginalised and underrepresented communities. Andrew is also part of the Algorithmic Warfare Resistance Laboratory (AWRL).
Andrew holds a Masters in International Security from Sciences Po Paris, specializing in Intelligence services and the MENA region. He has worked in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. His previous experience includes communications and policy research at the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs. He is an independent editor and translator.
