Recentering Palestine: Shifting Regional Dynamics

This webinar will focus on regional dynamics in light of the war in Gaza.
For decades, Palestine was the central question for Arab countries, an epicenter for mobilization and alliances. Starting with the Camp David accords in 1978, and later the Oslo process, the tracks of the Arab-Israeli and Palestinian-Israeli conflicts began to diverge. This trend accelerated with the Abraham accords which pushed for normalized Arab relations with Israel while Palestinians remained deprived of their rights. The war in Gaza has shattered the idea that Israel and its allies could contain/suffocate the Palestine question while pursuing normalization deals with other Arab countries.
