The paper tries to assess Tunisia’s transition and ponder the outcome of the period, as a whole. Before anything else, it is important to approach the issue in the context of the need to resolve the pending questions regarding the fate of the transition itself, and people’s expectations of it. The turmoil we are witnessing today reflects major expectations that have become more urgent than any time before, prompting the need to embark on a process of major reforms.
