Serene Dardari (She/Her) is a social impact communications specialist. She formerly worked as the regional communications manager at Anera, an American humanitarian NGO that serves vulnerable and refugee communities in the MENA area. She holds an MA in Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Armed Conflict from the Open University of Catalonia. Serene obtained a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from the Lebanese American University. She has been working with Syrian, Palestinian, and Iraqi refugee children, as well as marginalized groups of many nationalities, for over ten years through safe spaces and community kitchens. Serene received the “Woman of Excellence” award from the Women Economic Forum in New Delhi in 2019. She is particularly interested in girls’ rights and SRHR in the MENA. She has organized various girl-centered campaigns aimed at providing menstrual hygiene management products and combating misinformation about bodily rights.
