Economist

She is an economist, with an MA degree in Public Policy. Her work covers the macroeconomic policies in the Middle East, with a special focus on Egypt. she published papers covering labor and wage policies, fiscal policy, tax justice, health and education policies, and analyzed the economic and social impact of the International Financial Institutions. She trained journalists, political parties, parliamentarians and more than 30 CSOs, across the Arab countries. She published two guides: on social protection and on budget analysis. She also co-translated Thomas Piketty’s The Capital in the 21st century. She is one of the authors of Egypt’s Economy in the 21st century (edited volume).
