Her experience in security and peace building interventions began with the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security in 2003. She developed the first Palestinian feminist concept of the resolution through the booklet Resolution 1325 and Palestinian Women. She also contributed to the development of the Palestinian feminist vision for the Women’s National Coalition for the implementation of the resolution, the strategic framework of the plan, and the vision and the government coalition plans headed by the Minister of Women’s Affairs. As a member of the High Committee for the Implementation of Resolution 1325, chaired by the Minister of Women’s Affairs, she contributed to the development of the Committee’s vision and plans.
