Ahmed Morsy
Senior Researcher, MENA Program at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) / Co-founder of the Arab Political Science Network (APSN)
Ahmed Morsy is a Senior Researcher in the MENA program at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), where he focuses on geopolitics and post-conflict dynamics in the MENA region. Before joining SIPRI, he was Senior Analyst at Eurasia Group providing research and analysis focusing on North African political and economic issues, and previously was the Manager of the MENA program at the American Political Science Association (APSA). In 2019, Ahmed co-founded the Arab Political Science Network (APSN) that focuses on supporting political science students and faculty from the Arab world. He received his PhD in International Relations from the University of St Andrews that examined Egypt’s policy towards Iran from Nasser to Morsi. Ahmed’s research interests include foreign and security policies in the Middle East as well as political reform in the Arab world.
