The signing of the power-sharing agreement between the Transitional Military Council and the Forces of Freedom and Change opens new opportunities for a democratic transition in Sudan. With continuing demonstrations and the anticipation of the signing of a Constitutional Declaration, the Arab Reform Initiative conducted a short interview with Sudanese activist and writer Ishraga Mustafa. She talks about the reasons for Sudanese taking to the streets, the internal and external challenges that threaten the protest movement, and the role played by women and youth.
