Master’s degree in Modern and Contemporary History and Ph.D. student
Former member of the Iraqi Parliament and of the Committee on Women and Childhood of the Iraqi Parliament, session 4, for legislation review and the monitoring of the reality of women in accordance with the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). Worked with the Iraqi government to review the second national plan to develop monitoring and implementation mechanisms for United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security. Founding member of the Elite Network for Development and Growth in Women’s Issues. She has worked on replicating the experiences of Croatia and Kosovo in the promulgation of the Iraqi Yazidi Survivors Act in 2020.
