Taher Labadi holds a PhD in economics from Paris-Dauphine University in France. His doctoral research focused on the political economy of the colonial rule in Palestine (1920-2015).

He is currently working on the development of industrial zones and logistical hubs in Jordan, with a specific emphasis on their impact on labour and capital flows at the regional level. His research interests include political economy, liberalization policies, international aid and conflict management in the Middle-East region.
