Ms. Ghaddar is a Senior Fellow at The Washington Institute’s Program on Arab Politics. She was the long–time managing editor of Lebanon’s NOW news website, where she wrote commentary and analysis on Lebanese and regional politics, Syria, and Iran. She is a regular contributor to a number of publications, including the New York Times, Foreign Policy, and The Washington Post. She is a former Public Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Centre for Scholars. She also wrote for Assafir, Annahar, and the pan-Arab Al-Hayat newspaper. She was a researcher for the SURF-Arab States Program at the United Nations Development Program between 2002 and 2004. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature and a Master’s in Middle Eastern studies, both from the American University in Beirut.
