Mr. Almuslimi is a Research Fellow at Chatham House where he focuses on Yemen and the wider Gulf. Prior to joining Chatham House, Al-Muslimi co-founded the Sanaa Center for Strategic Studies and served as its first chairperson 2014-2022.He also previously worked for the Carnegie Middle East Center in Beirut and Middle East Institute in Washington, D.C. as a visiting scholar. Al-Muslimi’s writings and analysis on Yemen and the wider region have been published in Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, The New York Times, The Independent, The Guardian, McClatchy, The National, Al-Hayyat, Assafir, Al-Monitor, Die Zeit, Liberations, Daraj, Bidayat, Just Security, The New Lines Magazine and many other publications.
