Specialist doctor and director of the Office of Health Quality Control in Al-Diwaniyah Health Directorate in Iraq. Human rights and women’s rights advocate. Founding member and part of the “We” Regional Network for Women’s Rights Defenders. Member of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security Network since 2004. She is one of the founders of the Diwaniyah Women Center for human rights and the Foundation of the National Alliance of Women in Iraq. Recipient of the 2011 Human Rights Defender Award from the United Nations Latin America and the Caribbean Office.
