Dr. Joseph El Assad is a Lebanese engineer, academic, and energy policy expert specializing in renewable energy, sustainability, and technology innovation. He serves as Dean of the School of Engineering at USEK and has over 15 years of experience advising international organizations, including IRENA, UNESCWA, the League of Arab States and kfW. His work bridges research, policy, and implementation, advancing energy transition, green hydrogen development, and microgrid solutions to promote sustainable growth and resilience across the MENA region.
