Hamda Dhaouadi is a Tunisian film director and photographer from Kelibia. His work engages with existential inquiry, political realities, and human vulnerability through a poetic and visually driven language. His first short film, The Man Who Was Abandoned By God (2022), was selected for several international film festivals. In 2024, he directed Blue, a contemplative work examining isolation and the meaning of life after labor, which was also selected in numerous festivals.
He is currently developing Looking for Hussein, a project exploring ritual, memory, and devotion, alongside a documentary project on Abu Ghraib that interrogates trauma, power, and the persistence of violence.
