Ph.D. in Political Science

Academic and director of the Washm Center for Women’s Studies in Libya. She participated in the preparation of the preliminary document of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda under the auspices of the Women’s Empowerment Section of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) with the participation of several local civil society organizations. She has held many academic and advisory positions, including an academic post at the Faculty of Economics, Benghazi University. She is also a local adviser to UN Women on gender issues and political participation, a member of the committee preparing the draft law for the parliamentary elections and a former president of the Civil Society Commission, among others.
