Tunisia After the Elections

The Arab Reform Initiative organized the first roundtable meeting of its newly set-up Political Economy Observatory of the Middle East and North Africa, an initiative established jointly with the Chaire Socio-Economie du Monde Arabe of Paris Sciences et Lettres.

The meeting discussed Tunisia's economic and political options and the challenges the new administration will have to address.  It was attended by key experts from Tunisia, the World Bank and IMF.

The roundtable is part of a series of roundtables that will be held in 2019-2020. The aim is to better understand the links between economy, politics, and society in the democratic and economic developments of the region in order to better delineate the constraints to progress and devise innovative solutions adapted to the real problems facing the different countries of the region.
