Biography

Maha Assabalani is the Communications Officer at ARI. Prior to working at ARI, she was an international coordinator and executive manager at the Syrian Violations Center and Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression in Damascus. She has also worked with the International Federation for Human Rights, the World Bank, and the United Nations University. She holds a Master’s degree in Global Communications from the American University in Paris and was a Fulbright Fellow at the College of William and Mary. Maha also works as a freelance journalist and publishes articles in various English and Arabic media outlets.
